Mercedes V-Class
1–7 passengers · families and small chalets
One private minibus for the whole chalet: up to 19 people, their skis and their cases, from the arrivals hall at Geneva to the door of your residence at 2,300 m. One fixed price per vehicle, agreed before you fly.
From Geneva Airport we cross into France at Bardonnex and stay on the motorway — past Annecy and Chambéry to Albertville. The N90 dual carriageway then runs up the Tarentaise to Moûtiers, where the D117 leaves for the Belleville valley: about 37 km of mountain road through Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Les Menuires, the last of it above the tree line, until the road ends at Val Thorens.
Satnavs sometimes suggest the D96 out of Moûtiers. The resort itself advises against it — it is narrow and often closed in winter — and so do we: our drivers stay on the D117.
Fixed prices per vehicle, one way, tolls and VAT included, from our booking engine on 8 October 2026; the live quote for your exact address may differ slightly. Card payments carry a 3.5 % fee; on a V-Class return booked together, 10 % comes off the total.

More than 19? We run several minibuses in convoy, or a coach up to 50 seats on request.
Val Thorens is semi-pedestrian: from mid-November to mid-May there is no street parking, but vehicles may stop briefly in front of an accommodation to unload. That is exactly what a transfer needs — the group and the kit go to the door, then the minibus leaves.
The resort is compact — about twenty minutes across on foot — but split into several sectors on the slope. The name of your residence or chalet lets the driver take the right access road first time.
Snow tyres or chains are compulsory in French mountain areas from 1 November to 31 March, and at this altitude the resort recommends them for the whole season. Our vehicles are equipped for it.
Most chalets change over on Saturday and the N90 is the only road up the valley; on the busiest weekends the département runs a traffic-management scheme on it. Allow extra time in both directions — a Friday or Sunday transfer is often noticeably quicker.
The nearest station is Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains, about 37 km below the resort. Buses climb from the station to Val Thorens, but with a group, skis and a change of train on the way, the luggage is the hard part.
In winter, coach services run from Geneva Airport to the resort. They suit one or two travellers; for a full chalet you are tied to the timetable and to the other passengers' stops.
It leaves when your group has landed, goes straight to your address, and costs the same whether you are 8 or 16 — which is why, for a whole chalet, it often works out close to the per-seat price of shared transport.
Add your flight number at booking: the driver plans the pick-up around your actual landing time rather than the timetable.
CHF 1,080 one way in a Mercedes V-Class for up to 7 passengers, or CHF 1,570 in a Mercedes Sprinter for up to 19. The price is per vehicle, tolls and VAT included; card payments add 3.5 %.
About 2 h 42 for roughly 209 km by motorway in normal traffic; allow more on peak changeover Saturdays.
Yes. The Sprinter seats up to 19 passengers with up to 19 bags. Tell us how many ski bags and boot bags you carry when you book, so we send the right configuration.
Street parking is banned in winter, but a short stop in front of your accommodation to unload is allowed. We drop the group at the building and then leave the resort.
Val Thorens is in France, so the route crosses the Swiss–French border. Every passenger, children included, should carry a valid passport or national ID card.
Yes, both are on the same road below Val Thorens. Enter your exact address in the booking form and the price is calculated for it.
