Mercedes V-Class
1–7 passengers · families and small chalets
A private minibus for the whole chalet, from the arrivals hall at Geneva to your residence in Tignes le Lac, Val Claret or any of the five villages: up to 19 people with their skis, one fixed price per vehicle.
From Geneva Airport we cross into France at Bardonnex and take the motorway via Annecy and Chambéry to Albertville, then the N90 all the way up the Tarentaise to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. From there the D902 climbs towards the head of the valley, past the great Tignes dam and the Lac du Chevril, before the turn up to the resort.
Satnavs sometimes route over the Petit-Saint-Bernard or the Iseran pass. Both are closed in winter: our drivers take the valley road.
Fixed prices per vehicle, one way, tolls and VAT included, from our booking engine on 8 October 2026; the live quote for your exact address may differ slightly. Card payments carry a 3.5 % fee; on a V-Class return booked together, 10 % comes off the total.

More than 19? We run several minibuses in convoy, or a coach up to 50 seats on request.
Tignes is five villages: Les Brévières at 1,550 m, Tignes 1800 (Les Boisses), Le Lavachet, Tignes le Lac at 2,100 m and Val Claret. The residence name tells the driver which one — they are several minutes apart by road.
Parking is paid in winter, with around 3,500 spaces between Les Brévières and Val Claret, and free buses run between the villages — one more reason to arrive by minibus and leave the car question aside.
The Grande Motte glacier rises above the resort; below it, old Tignes was flooded when the dam was built in 1952 — the lake you drive past on the way up.
Most chalets change over on Saturday and the N90 is the only road up the valley; on the busiest weekends the département runs a traffic-management scheme on it. Allow extra time in both directions — a Friday or Sunday transfer is often noticeably quicker.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice is the nearest station, served by TGV and, in winter, by Eurostar, about 30 km below the resort. An Altibus line climbs from Bourg to Tignes and Val d'Isère.
In winter, direct coach services run from Geneva Airport to Tignes. They suit one or two travellers; for a full chalet you share the timetable and the stops.
It leaves when your group has landed, goes straight to your address, and costs the same whether you are 8 or 16 — which is why, for a whole chalet, it often works out close to the per-seat price of shared transport.
Add your flight number at booking: the driver plans the pick-up around your actual landing time rather than the timetable.
CHF 1,180 one way in a Mercedes V-Class for up to 7 passengers, or CHF 1,710 in a Mercedes Sprinter for up to 19. The price is per vehicle, tolls and VAT included; card payments add 3.5 %.
About 3 h for roughly 229 km by motorway in normal traffic; allow more on peak changeover Saturdays.
Yes. The Sprinter seats up to 19 passengers with up to 19 bags. Tell us how many ski bags and boot bags you carry when you book, so we send the right configuration.
Yes, to all five villages. Enter your exact address in the booking form and the price is calculated for it.
Tignes is in France, so the route crosses the Swiss–French border. Every passenger, children included, should carry a valid passport or national ID card.
The valley road via Bourg-Saint-Maurice is the winter route. The high passes that satnavs sometimes suggest — Petit-Saint-Bernard and Iseran — are closed in winter, and we never plan a transfer over them.
