The route
Along Lake Geneva, up the Rhône valley, then the Val de Bagnes.
From Geneva Airport we take the A1 along Lake Geneva to Lausanne, then the A9 up the Rhône valley to Martigny. From there the road runs to Sembrancher, turns into the Val de Bagnes to Le Châble, the valley base, and climbs in hairpins to Verbier at about 1,500 m.
The whole journey stays on Swiss roads: no border, no customs, about two hours in normal traffic.

The 4 Vallées
Verbier is the best-known resort of the 4 Vallées, the ski area it shares with Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz and Thyon.
Le Châble, the valley base
Le Châble, in the valley below, is linked to Verbier by cable car — the train from Martigny ends there. Arriving by minibus, the group skips the change and goes straight to the chalet.
Winter equipment
Between Le Châble and Verbier, chains may be required after heavy snow and winter tyres are strongly recommended. Our vehicles are equipped for it.
Chalets spread over the slope
Chalets and residences are spread over the hillside above and around the centre. The exact address lets the driver take the right road up first time.

Train to Martigny and Le Châble
From Geneva the train runs to Martigny, where you change for the Saint-Bernard Express to Le Châble — about 25 minutes — and then take the cable car or the PostBus up to Verbier. Allow about two and a half hours, with two changes and all the luggage.
Scheduled coach from Geneva
Shared shuttles fill seat by seat and stop for other passengers on the way. For a full chalet with skis, a minibus that leaves when your group has landed is usually the simpler choice.
A private minibus
It leaves when your group has landed, goes straight to your address, and costs the same whether you are 8 or 16 — which is why, for a whole chalet, it often works out close to the per-seat price of shared transport.

Do we cross a border?
No. From the Swiss side of Geneva Airport the route stays in Switzerland: the A1 along the lake, the A9 to Martigny and the valley road to Verbier.
Could we take the cable car from Le Châble instead?
You can: the train from Martigny ends at Le Châble, and the cable car climbs to Verbier. For a group with ski bags, being driven to the door is usually simpler.
